Young and impetuous ruler of Narland
Personality: The common folk love me for my kindness and generosity.
Ideal: Nation. My city, nation, and people are all that matter.
Bond: I will prove to the Swordlords that I am worthy of being among their ranks.
Flaw: Once someone questions my courage, I never back down no matter how dangerous the situation.
Baron Brinian Vasseri, an aspiring Swordlord, rules fairly, and almost never has to weigh in on cases other than those involving nobles. He is one of the few lords who feel that nobles get uppity from time to time and need to be reminded of their place. He has been known to rule unfairly against a noble from time to time in favor of a commoner, just to keep them on their toes and out of his hair. Minor nobles from other families are commonly indentured to serve his household for a year if they break rules in his region. Often these nobles end up staying on out of loyalty, because he is known to reward excellence and intelligence in his retainers, regardless of their standing as prisoner or freemen.
Despite his inherently wise ruling style, Brinian, much like others of the Aldori Swordpact, is very prickly about his honor and prone to act rashly when it is called into question. Such foolhardiness is how he was convinced by his best friend Lord Domenic into exploring Candlemere Island, an act that would see him captured by a band of dark elves. Were it not for the heroics of the local adventuring party, Baron Brinian surely would have met his end.
